![]() ![]() Though that hoe is supposed to be rather heavy, so we can probably assume Rika almost dropped it or some such thing. Q: What is the 'mistake' Rika makes during the Watanagashi performance?Ī: We'll never know for sure. ![]() Note Hanyuu's reaction is to stamp her feet loudly and go: "Is not! >:o" Considering Takano describes quite a bit of torture in this chapter too, Shion's advanced hinamizawa syndrome probably allowed her to hear it. Note that in Minagoroshi-hen, when Rika lets Takano and Tomitake into the shack, Takano starts raving about the tortures done in the name of Oyashiro-sama. We know that the higher level of Hinamizawa syndrome someone becomes infected with, the more they are able to 'hear' Hanyuu. Q: What is that 'pounding noise' Shion mentions hearing in the festival tool shed?Ī: This is answered in Minagoroshi-hen. They all get arrested for stealing, and Oishi remarks they were really just a bunch of losers. They refuse to say anything, so he gives them beer, preventing them from just driving away on their motorcycles, and then has their motorbikes' plates checked for reports of theft. He tries to cajole them into talking about why they ganged up on him, even trying to scare them by telling them that the people of Hinamizawa really don't like outsiders. In the TIPS for the original games, it's told how they get picked up by Oishi. Q: Does anything happen to the delinquents after they escape the townspeople? Where'd they come from anyway?Ī: Actually, yes. ![]() XD We can assume they really did just happen to be passing by and stood up to help. Q: How did all those townspeople just 'show up' to save Keiichi out of nowhere when Shion stands up for him?Ī: Yeah, this is a little unfair because it makes the viewer imagine they gather because of some mind-controlling parasite or some such thing. We know from Meakashi-hen that Shion takes Mion's place the day after the festival. Q: So the person who acts as "Mion" through most of this chapter is really Shion?Ī: Correct. Also note that similar to Onikakushi-hen, Keiichi worries about the food he's been given until he starts eating. Q: So, it's really Mion who gives Keiichi the bento in the beginning of the chapter, right?Ī: Right, which is why Shion didn't know about it later. The only way to really know if it's Shion or Mion, especially in this chapter, is to watch what each one says. Also take into account Mion and Shion are played by the same voice actor. Unfortunately, that's usually not visible so there's nothing so easy to check. Is there any way to be sure to tell them apart?Ī: The easiest answer is yes, that Sonozaki Mion has a yakuza 'demon' tattoo on her back. Q: Sonozaki Shion and Sonozaki Mion play the 'switching twin' trick a lot. XD Ī: She gets killed by Shion, probably much like we see her kill Satoko in Meakashi-hen. I have no idea why that scene is even in there, maybe they just chose to run a gruesome scene as a teaser without considering the plot. Rika does NOT kill herself with the knife as shown here at the start of the chapter. Q: What's up with Rika killing herself at the beginning of the chapter? Doesn't Mion tell everyone she kills her here?Ī: Yes, this is actually something that can be fully explained as an ERROR. The first time viewer is most likely (after only seeing Onikakushi-hen) thinking that the 'curse' of Oyashiro-sama is really supernatural in origin, this chapter is meant to provide the false solution of: "The Sonozaki family is the one pulling the strings."Īnother purpose of this chapter is to up the bloodshed a little and show that anyone in this series can die, especially the five club member kids. Q: Okay, this chapter was REALLY confusing.Ī: Yes, the entire point of this chapter is to feed the viewer disinformation about the Sonozaki family. Only read if you have already finished both seasons at least.Ĭhapter II: Watanagashi ![]()
